Board Scribe

Do you possess excellent written and oral communications skills, as well as the ability to prioritize, organize, and coordinate tasks? Are you savvy with a computer and able to work well independently?

We are currently seeking a Board Scribe to provide administrative and clerical support to the First Alternative Board of Directors. Major tasks for this position include taking Board and committee meeting minutes, preparing and mailing Board packets, and editing and maintaining Board documents.

Pay for this position starts at $11.34 per hour. Hours vary, but will average ten hours per week (some weeks more and some weeks less, depending on the needs of the Board of Directors). The successful candidate must have availability on Tuesday evenings.

Grocery Assistant Manager

The Grocery Team seeks an individual with prior retail grocery experience. Knowledge about the natural foods industry is a big plus. Excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills are required for this position. The top candidate will also have a positive attitude and strong team building/leadership skills.

The Grocery Assistant Manager is responsible for coordinating the regular functions of the Grocery department for the assigned store location. This includes ordering product, invoicing, managing inventory and margins, as well as scheduling, supervising and evaluating assigned department staff.

The Grocery Assistant Manager works closely with the Grocery Manager to ensure the success of the Grocery department.

This is a 40 hours/week salaried, full-time position. Compensation starts at $2,224/month (equivalent to $13.90/hour) DOE.
