First Alternative is looking for an individual who has retail experience in natural foods (including purchasing/ordering/pricing), has proven leadership skills and possesses the ability to model exemplary customer service to lead our Grocery Team. This individual must have a minimum of three years retail management experience and is proficient with Microsoft Office.

The Grocery Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful operation of the Grocery Department at both store locations.  This includes ensuring selection and purchasing of products that meet all financial objectives for sales, margin, turns and follow our Product Selection Guidelines.

Dishwasher

First Alternative is looking for someone who has previous dishwashing experience in a commercial kitchen.

Dishwashers are a vital support position in our fast-paced kitchen, therefore, this individual must work well in a team environment. Excellent organization and communication skills are required, as well as multi-tasking abilities, dependability and previous kitchen experience. The Dishwasher’s main responsibility is to wash the dishes, pots and pans that are generated by our kitchen, deli and deli customers. Possession of a food handler’s card is also required for this position.

Kitchen/Bakery Production Worker

The Feast Alternative Kitchen has an opening for a Kitchen/Bakery Production Worker. Preferred candidates have a minimum of 3 years commercial kitchen cooking experience. Baking experience is preferred, but not required. The Kitchen/Bakery Production Worker assists in preparing ingredients for menu items and baked goods. This is an essential support position in a department with intensive need for quality control and precision. He/she must be able to follow instruction, be a clean and organized worker, and work well as a team player. Possession of a current food handler’s card is required for this position.
