First Alternative seeks a self-motivated, solution-oriented individual who has familiarity with POS systems to join our Admin team. This position is responsible for maintaining overall pricing integrity at both of our store locations. The ideal candidate must be proficient with computer systems, especially Microsoft Office Suite with MS Excel at an advanced level.
Job duties will include: entering all new products and attribute information into the POS system in a timely manner; maintaining accurate and up to date prices for all products and promotions and signage at all store locations; generating shelf tags for new products, price changes and sale prices; ensuring weekly sales tags are generated and sent to appropriate systems and managers; updating Point of Sale documents and process manuals and other tasks as assigned.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must as this position will be required to coordinate with management and staff from all departments to meet goals and project deadlines.
Pay starts at $13.27/hr or depending on experience.
This position will start as a temporary full-time 40 hrs/wk position and will move to a permanent 20 hrs/wk in late March/early April. Hours may include some morning, evening, and weekend hours. Shifts for this position will be primarily at our South store location with some shifts scheduled at the North store periodically.

The South Store Grocery Department is looking for a dependable and motivated individual with a positive attitude to lead the grocery team. The ideal candidate will have previous grocery management experience, strong communication skills and an excellent proven ability for problem solving and delegation. The ideal candidate will have the ability to develop, train and lead their team to achieve established department goals. A background in natural foods is preferred.
The Grocery Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful operation of the South Store Grocery Department. This key position supervises all grocery and bulk staff, which includes scheduling, completing evaluations and performance management. The grocery manager ensures selection and purchasing of products that meet financial objectives for sales, margin, and turns and are within the Co-op’s Product Selection Guidelines. The Grocery Manager is a key member of the department where cooperation is required to maintain staff morale, efficiency, creative merchandising of quality products, and excellent customer service.
Pay: $17.59 or depending on experience
This will be a 40hrs a week position, which may include weekends, early mornings and evenings.
