First Alternative Co-op’s Produce Department is looking for dependable and motivated individual with a positive attitude to lead their team. Knowledge about and experience in the organic retail Produce industry is highly desirable!
The Produce Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful operation of the Produce Department at one of our store locations. This position also ensures selection and purchasing of products that meet financial objectives. As the leader of the Produce Department Team, the Produce Manager is responsible for the supervision and performance management of all Produce employees. The Produce Manager is a key member of a department where cooperation is required to maintain staff morale, efficiency, creative merchandising of quality products, and excellent customer service.
Pay starts at $17.59/hr and is a salaried position.
The ideal candidate must be able to work some early mornings, evenings and weekend hours, therefore open availability and a flexible schedule are a vital part of being an employee at First Alternative Cooperative.
