As we continue to navigate the pandemic, First Alternative Co-op is trying to help make it a little easier by offering grocery ordering for pick-up as a service to our community. If you are able to shop in the store, we ask that you please do so. While we are experiencing limited resources and staffing due to the pandemic, we want to ensure those who need this service are able to access it. This service is intended for high risk individuals in the community and for those in quarantine. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding!

Grocery ordering & pick-up services

  • Pick-up available Monday-Friday
  • $30 minimum order
  • $10 service fee on each order

Please note that we are unable to accommodate returns or refunds on products included in grocery pick-up orders.

Use the form below to place your order for pick-up Monday-Friday. Be sure to select the store location where you would like to pick up your order. We will do our best to fulfill all orders within three days of receiving them, Monday-Friday. Due to unpredictable order numbers and staffing considerations, we may need more time to fulfill your order. If we are not able to complete your order in that timeframe, we will be sure to contact you.

We will call you to get payment information and let you know when it will be ready for pick-up. When your order is ready for pick-up, please arrive in the parking lot and call the store to let us know you are here. We ask that you stay in your car and pop the trunk so we can ensure a contact-free transfer.

To help us successfully complete your order, please follow our shopping list instructions.

There is a minimum order of $30 for pick-up. Payment will be collected by credit/debit card over the phone. We can also process EBT cards over the phone. If Owners wish to use their Owner Sale Day if available, please indicate so on the order form and make sure to place your order two days before the end of the month so we can process it in time.

Since many of our sales change on a bi-weekly basis (Co-op Deals), please make sure to place your order by 3pm on Sunday for the last week of the sale period if you want to guarantee you receive the sale price. Orders must be paid for by Tuesday to receive sale prices.

Due to the challenges our distributors are facing from unusually high demand, we cannot guarantee items will be in stock. We are unable to accommodate case orders or special orders. Limits may also be placed on high demand items such as toilet paper, paper towels, canned fruits and vegetables, canned beans, canned soups, frozen fruits and vegetables, pasta, canned tomato products, cereal, eggs, and olive oil.

Please make sure when you place your order that your list is complete, as we are unable to accommodate add-on items after your order has been submitted. These services are being provided to help lessen traffic in the stores to protect our staff and customers. If you place an order for pick-up and realize you forgot an item, we encourage you to add it to your next order rather than coming into the store, which can diminish the program’s benefits.
