First Alternative Co-op offers a 5% discount card to families that qualify. Shoppers eligible for this discount are those who qualify for a low income government assistance program such as SNAP or WIC. Apply below or at the Customer Service desk at either store location.

Food for All Application

First Alternative Co-op’s Food for All program (formerly known as the Low Income Discount Program) offers a 5% discount card to families and individuals who qualify for a low income government assistance program such as SNAP or WIC. By enrolling in the Food for All program using your SNAP card, you automatically enroll in Double Up Food Bucks. Learn about the Double Up Food Bucks program.

To apply, please fill out the application below to begin the process. Please allow up to two weeks for processing. We will contact you once your application has been processed, at which time you will be asked to show your EBT or SNAP card next time you shop at the store to verify eligibility and activate your discount. Applications are also available at Customer Service at both Co-op locations.

Other information:

You do not have to be an owner to qualify, and it is free to sign up.
Your account will be active through the end of the calendar year. You will need to reapply between Oct. 1-Dec. 31 to renew your discount for the following year.
Discounts do not apply to purchase of alcohol or gift cards.
Your account number must be presented to the cashier each time you make a purchase in order to receive the discount.
Your discount may not be shared with anyone outside of your household.
If you lose your card, please present identification at Customer Service to receive a replacement.
