Comment:

Are the poinsettias you sell local & do they contain any pesticides?

Response:

Poinsettias are a tropic plant native to Central and South America, and traditionally have required a lot of pesticides and hot weather to grow. Our poinsettias, however, are sourced locally through Peoria Gardens in Corvallis. They are purchased as seedling starts from Costa Rica and shipped to Peoria Gardens in April or May, where they are then grown without pesticides or any sprays for 5 months until they reach maturity. They are then delivered directly to us from Peoria Gardens. Peoria Gardens only uses beneficial insects to control pest issues, never sprays. Please feel free to ask our Produce team if you have any other questions!
