Government Programs
The government provides benefits from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program via Oregon Trail EBT cards. WIC (Women, Infants & Children) is a federally funded supplemental nutrition program.
Get more fruits and vegetables when you spend your Oregon Trail Card (SNAP) dollars. For every $1 you spend on fresh fruits and vegetables using your SNAP card, you’ll receive $1 in Double Up Food Bucks, up to $20 per day. It’s a great way to save on fresh, local, and organic produce!
Food for All Program
First Alternative Co-op offers a 5% discount card to families that qualify. Shoppers eligible for this discount are those who qualify for a low income government assistance program such as SNAP or WIC. Apply online or at the Customer Service desk at either store location.

Student Produce Tuesdays
Every Tuesday, students with a valid ID from an Oregon College can present their ID at the register and receive 15% off all the fresh produce they purchase.
Alternative Transportation
First Alternative offers an incentive card to encourage you to walk, bicycle, take the bus. Spend $10 or more and get a punch on your card. Once you have 15 punches, redeem it for $5 off your grocery bill.
