The cornerstone of Thanksgiving dessert. Simple, sweet, and delicious.

Make 2. For each 9” pie you will need
  1. 2 eggs
  2. ¾ cup sugar
  3. 1 tsp. cinnamon
  4. ¼ tsp. cloves
  5. 1 – 12 oz. can evaporated milk
  6. 1 pie crust
  7. ½ tsp. ginger
  8. ½ tsp. salt
  9. 1 – 15 oz. can pumpkin
Instructions
  1. Heat oven to 425°. Prepare pastry. Measure all ingredients into mixing bowl and beat until well mixed. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake 15 minutes. Reduce oven to 350°. Bake 45 minutes longer or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool. Serve with sweetened whipping cream.
Notes
  1. Short on time? Bake the pie a week before Thanksgiving and keep it in the fridge. It will still taste great!
  2. Really short on time? Stop by the co-op and buy a prepared pumpkin pie (Also available in slices).
